The 50th anniversary season of the Buffalo Bills was, no matter how you look at it, a letdown. The slide into mediocrity that began a few years prior continued in earnest as the team finished with a 6-10 record and fired head coach Dick Jauron in November.
But hey, at least they had a lot of past achievements to celebrate. One of those was their four straight appearances in the AFC Championship, as commemorated on their December 20 game ticket against the New England Patriots.
Alas, that game was also a loss (17-10).
