This week we welcome back a school that has not been in the AP Top 25 of college football for some time. With their dramatic, double-overtime win over #8 Florida State, the Virginia Cavaliers are back in the national rankings for the first time since 2019.

That year, QB Bryce Perkins led Virginia to a 9-5 record (6-2 in the ACC) and an appearance in the Orange Bowl.

Unfortunately, the Cavaliers suffered a 36-28 loss to Florida in that game, which left them with a final AP ranking of #24. They had been as high as #18 after starting the season four straight wins.
