In recognition of Canadian Thanksgiving, I thought I’d share something special for my Canadian friends. And yeah it’s probably cliche to go the hockey route, but these were too cool to not share. They are pages from a set of fantastic 1950s and 1960s broadside advertising calendars and feature two of the NHL’s Original Six franchises — the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens. In fact, all but two of these pages pre-date the first NHL expansion season of 1967-68.
Each page features a beautiful team photo and the team’s scheduled games for the month. Boy those reds and blues just pop off the page, don’t they?
