It seems only fitting that when the Green Bay Packers played their first game at Lambeau Field it was against the Chicago Bears. By 1957 the two teams had already faced each other more than 50 times in the regular season.
The Pack’s new home, then known as City Stadium, replaced an older venue of the same name. It was renamed for the legendary Curly Lambeau in 1965.
