Courtesy First Bank (which phased out in 1997) is a handy pocket schedule for the 1983 Minnesota Golden Gophers football team.
Seen in this action shot are Gophers Randy Rasmussen (#53) and Valdez Baylor (#37). Rasmussen was second team All-Big Ten in 1982 and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1984. Baylor had his best season in 1985, when he rushed for 582 yards and five touchdowns.
Minnesota, meanwhile, had a rough go of it that year. They were winless in Big Ten play and finished with a 1-10 record overall. That lone win came in the season opener at Rice.
