Here’s a fantastic piece of racing history. It’s a promotional brochure for NASCAR’s Firecracker 400, scheduled for July 4, 1964 at Daytona International Speedway. It features a great aerial shot of the track, as well as a few cool action photos from the 1963 running. Oh, and did I mention it’s partially sponsored by Eastern Airlines?
The ’64 Firecracker 400 (currently known as the Coke Zero 400) was won by racing legend A.J. Foyt, who repeated his victory in 1965. This brochure gets into the history of the race, as well as that of Daytona Speedway.
