The 2021-22 EFL League Championship season has drawn to a close and it’s time to recognize the clubs that will be leaving via promotion for the Premier League. This year the League Championship promotions are Fulham and AFC Bournemouth on points, and Nottingham Forest from winning the playoffs.

Fulham is returning right back to the Premier League after just one season in the League Championship. They will look to avoid another immediate relegation as in 2020-21 and 2018-19. Right behind them are AFC Bournemouth, who spent just two seasons in the Championship after relegation.

Forest’s time away from the top flight was by far the longest, having last competed in the Premier League in the 1998-99 season.
