From June-July 1961, here’s Vol. 1, #2 of “Angel Angles,” the official newsletter of the Los Angeles Angels. It was the team’s first year in existence, when they played at Wrigley Field (not that one) in Los Angeles. The next year they moved to their new temporary home, Dodger Stadium.
As might be expected for such a young team, they played up their marquee opponents — in this case Mickey Mantle of the Yankees and Minnie Minoso of the White Sox.
