At the risk of jinxing them, as of this writing the Minnesota Twins are in first place in the American League Central Division. So for this edition of Team Capsule I want to look at the very first time the Twins took first place — 1965. Of course back then first place meant a pennant and trip to the World Series, which Minnesota lost to the L.A. Dodgers.
