One of the greatest to ever play between the pipes, Bernie Parent<\/a>, has passed away at age 80. He is of course best remembered as the goalie for the Philadelphia Flyers during their Stanley Cup championship seasons of 1973-74 and 1974-75. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parent, however, began his NHL career in 1965-66 with the Boston Bruins and was away from the Flyers for 3 seasons in the 1970s. During those years he was played for the Maple Leafs in the NHL and the Philadelphia Blazers of the WHA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
