Seeing as Doug Brown is a pretty common name, I’m surprised it hasn’t popped up more in the sports world. But according to Wikipedia there haven’t been that many of them to date<\/a>\u00a0and even fewer have played a major pro sport.<\/p>\r\n

Today’s series entry features a pair of Doug Browns from different sports. First is one who played in both the CFL and NFL from 1997-2011. Here is Doug Brown #1<\/a> on a 2003 Winnipeg Blue Bombers cover.<\/p>\r\n

The other Doug Brown will be more familiar to hockey fans. Doug Brown #2 played in the National Hockey League with the New Jersey Devils, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Detroit Red Wings between 1987 and 2001.<\/p>\r\n

Here he is with the Devils, located in the third row, third from the left.<\/p>\r\n
